1.圣诞节是几月几日
圣诞节是每年12月25日。圣诞节作为重要节日，成了教会的传统，并在东西派教会中逐渐传开。因所用历法不同等原因，各教派会举行庆祝的具体日期和活动形式也有差别。

圣诞老人（SantaClaus）作为圣诞节人物形象，其原型生活在公元4世纪米拉城（今土耳其境内）的主教圣尼古拉斯。
圣诞老人身穿红袍、头戴红帽的白胡子老头。每年圣诞节他驾着鹿拉的雪橇从北方而来，由烟囱进入各家，把圣诞礼物装在袜子里挂在孩子们的床头上或火炉前。
2.圣诞节的风俗
圣诞节的风俗有非常多，例如：制作圣诞卡、摆设圣诞树、点燃圣诞蜡烛、制作圣诞马槽、分发圣诞糖果、唱圣诞颂歌、挂圣诞袜等等，这些传统习俗都代表着平安祥和的寓意。每年的阳历12月25日就是圣诞节，原本圣诞节只是基 督教徒的节日，但是由于受到人们的重视，渐渐地演变成了全民性的节日，和中国的春节相似，是西方国家最盛大的一个节日。
圣诞节到来的那天，西方国家大大小小的商店、公司都会关门歇业，在圣诞节的前一天晚上，西方国家的家庭成员都会匆忙的赶回家中，和家人共进圣诞晚餐，然后一起等待圣诞节的到来。
现在在西方国家中，圣诞节当天都会举行各种各样的庆祝活动，人们会和朋友以及家人，一起上街参加纪念性活动，让圣诞节的节日氛围更加的浓厚。
中国人在圣诞节这天也会放下自己背负的工作压力，出去走走，看看挂满礼物的圣诞树，瞅瞅街上嘻嘻哈哈的小孩子，听听商家圣诞节促销的广播，把自己放置于圣诞节的气氛中，会感到内心无比的快乐和满足。
3.圣诞树的来历
近代圣诞树起源于德国，后来逐步在世界范围内流行起来，成为圣诞节庆祝中最有名的传统之一。据称，圣诞树最早出现在古罗马12月中旬的农神节，德国传教士尼古斯在公元8世纪用纵树供奉圣婴。随后，德国人把12月24日作为亚当和夏娃的节日，在家放上象征伊甸园的“乐园树”，上挂代表圣饼的小甜饼，象征赎罪;还点上蜡烛和球，象征基 督。到16世纪，宗教改革者马丁.路德，为求得一个满天星斗的圣诞之夜，设计出在家中布置一颗装着蜡烛和球的圣诞树。4.圣诞树的传说
对于圣诞树的由来，西方也有着另一个说法：有个善良的农民，在圣诞节那天，热情地招待了一名流浪的孩子，临别时，孩子折下一树枝插在地上，树枝立即长成大树，孩子指着这树对农民说：“每年今日，树上都长满礼物和球，以报答你们的盛情。”小孩走后，农民发现那树枝竟变成了一棵小树，他才明白自己接待的原来是一位上帝的使者。所以，今天人们所见的圣诞树上总是挂上了小礼物和球。5.圣诞树的传说
传说，有一位名叫弗乐伦亭的隐修圣人，住在德国亚尔萨斯的一个树林当中，他非常喜欢小孩子。有一年的圣诞节，他希望附近的小孩子，都能在一起快乐的玩，但是很贫穷，没有钱买孩子们喜爱的玩具和糖果，因此他为这件事很伤脑筋。一天早上，弗乐伦亭在树林中散步的时候，忽然看见一棵小杉树，树上堆满了雪，枝上挂着许多小冰条，经过太阳一照射，闪闪发光，非常的漂亮。他就把那棵树弄回来，种在盆里面。又在树林中捡一些野果子，再和上面粉，做成一些十字架，或星星形状的小饼，挂在树枝上面。又用一些小蜡烛，插在树枝上，把那棵树装扮得五光十色，非常的美观。到了圣诞夜晚，弗乐伦亭打起钟来，孩子们听到了，都跑到他的茅屋里，大家围着那棵树，手舞足蹈的唱着圣诞歌曲，然后弗乐伦亭把糕饼分给孩子们吃，让大家过了一个快乐的圣诞节。以后，这个习俗流传起来。
1837年，德国的海伦 公主，同法国的一位公爵结婚以后，圣诞树也随着她传到了巴黎。一八四一年，维多利亚的丈夫，把一棵圣诞树，放在温德莎宫门前。这种风俗由皇家传到贵族阶层，而后风行到了民间。
